VP of Risk Management

The IFC VP of Risk Management provides critical support to the Pierce Greek Life Center in regard to risk management programming, IFC leadership development, health and safety initiatives, and related student engagement activities. He also reviews chapter Risk Management Plans and provides recommendations to individual chapter Risk Managers on risk management and health & safety best practices, as well as conducting walkarounds during high-risk weekends to ensure IFC chapters uphold university and IFC stipulations.

Weston Hory is a sophomore from Manhattan Beach, California and a member of Delta Chi. He is in the Weber Honors College, majoring in International Security & Conflict Resolution. After graduation, he plans to pursue a career in International Risk Management ideally working in government or policy-focused organizations with a focus on public safety, risk mitigation, and global security challenges. Weston currently serves as the Associated Students Campus Community Commisioner where he helps strengthen relationships between students and the surrounding community, increase campus safety and promote responsible off-campus engagement. His previous experience includes work with the Beach Cities Youth Advisory Council, focusing on public health issues such as substance misuse and mental health through prevention and education initiatives. These experiences have helped him build leadership, organization, and risk-awareness skills. His goals include creating a more collaborative and prevention-focused risk management approach by improving communication across Greek councils, implementing proactive safety initiatives, and promoting early intervention, education, and shared accountability to improve student wellbeing.
