About Us

The San Diego State University Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the governing body of the 14 nationally-recognized IFC fraternities on-campus, with a membership base of 1500+ students. The IFC is a student-led organization, advised by SDSU Pierce Greek Life Center Staff and supported by the National Interfraternity Council (NIC). The IFC works to peer-govern member chapters, facilitate chapter recruitment, provide programming, and lead initiatives across the IFC community to support the personal, academic and professional development of chapter members and to ensure chapters operate in accordance with university and IFC standards. SDSU’s IFC was established in 1975, supporting SDSU Greek Life and the tens of thousands of IFC-chapter alumni throughout their college experience for over 50 years. Whether you are a prospective new member, an active chapter member, chapter alumni, or a parent or family member, the IFC is here to help you to engage in the IFC community on-campus.
