VP of Public Relations

The Vice President of Public Relations is responsible for promoting IFC events and collaborating with the Executive Vice President for Growth & Strategic Communication to publicize recruitment and council initiatives. He manages communication with campus and local media regarding IFC and chapter service efforts, and works to enhance the overall image of fraternity life at SDSU. This role oversees IFC social media and website content, ensuring accurate dissemination of health, safety, and high-risk weekend messaging. Additionally, he collaborates with the VP of Leadership Development & DEI to ensure all outreach is inclusive, accessible, and representative of the IFC community.

Oliver Chase is a junior from Marin County, California and a member of Delta Sigma Phi, majoring in Communication. After graduation, he plans to pursue a career in sales, combining relationship-building and problem-solving to drive results, with long-term goals of growing into a high-performance role where he consistently exceeds targets. He is also involved in Delta Sigma Phi as Vice President of Philanthropy, contributing to the organization’s service and community impact efforts. His previous experience includes working as a Social Media & Marketing Intern at NewGen Surgical in San Rafael, where he helped audit and update website content, created and managed LinkedIn and Instagram content, and analyzed engagement and competitor activity to support marketing performance and sustainability messaging. His goals include changing the narrative around Greek life at SDSU by highlighting its impact and values, building a strong and engaging social media and web presence through authentic video content, and ensuring IFC communication is clear, inclusive, and representative of all chapters.
